There was jubilation among the pothole community on Tuesday when news landed in the ears of the prestigious Kampala pothole community that the president had renewed the contract of their bosom friend, Jennifer Semakula Musisi, the executive director of Kampala Capital City Authority. The joy in their hearts could clearly be felt and smelt from miles away. Their jubilation was very historical
Their leader gave quite a watery speech that had all her brown foundation being drenched by her tears. In her speech, she had this to say about Jennifer Musisi, “…she is a hard working woman, she is principled, she is a powerful leader and a good worker,” In Kampala city where she hails, thousands of potholes were filled with tears of joy in jubilation over her appointment since they swear to the fact that she has done a lot for their survival.
The potholes all wearing brown liquid foundation for makeup were bearing green banana leaves, drums and other sound producing instruments which they used to sing out praises to their bosom friend Jennifer Musisi. The female potholes splashed their watery bodies on whoever dared to come near them while the male ones did all they could to sway even the mightiest vehicles that dared to caress their foundations. They danced for hours as they staged their street procession in the small commercial town.
Speaking to KiwaniPost, the Pothole in Chief said:”We are celebrating and thanking the President for renewing her contract. The appointment is coming at the right time when our numbers had dwindled and we need serious reproduction. This statement was greeted by high applause from the junior potholes that were paying attention to his speech.
Talking about the newly elect, he said that “….She has made it a point to ensure that we thrive in the healthiest way and this has made it easy for her workers to easily find landing space when they want to borrow street vendor’s merchandise. Our bottoms are well curved that we are still able to collect quite a puddle of water on a good day when the clouds tickle our fancies..”
What made the celebration really successful was because it was held outside town and after the speeches, the potholes invited the children in Kisenyi for a swimming rendezvous. Being very deep, the children were able to swim about really well and still took a few selfies to keep as memoirs for this remarkable day.
Aren’t the rest of the events that took place on this day written in “The book of Potholes Chapter 8?” You may need to find the book to get the rest of the sqoop.
All we know is that the next day, Jenifer Musisi visited the potholes and gave the kids that were still having hangover from the previous day’s encounter another rap. Boy! Were the kids glad? You bet.
